Scripps Ranch Elder Care Alliance
Today I met an enthusiastic young woman named Krstina who saw my article in the Scripps Ranch Newsletter. So now there are 2 members of our group. The good news is she is an entrepreneur and has experience starting up 401K charities, hurray. Bad news is she knows nothing about geriatrics. She is starting up some board and cares in Scripps Ranch though so wants to learn. Also her mother who is 79 lives in Scripps ranch. We will join forces and start this jpourney together.

Kathy,
ReplyDeleteYour mission is outstanding!
My name is Brandy Riley, and I'm a senior advocate who is passionate about volunteering my time to educate communities on automated telephone call reassurance programs - the fact they even exist. . . Hence this e-mail.
I think you should look at the following URL that also has the same mission as you - to allow seniors to age in place longer (AKA "Age at Home") to the benefit of themselves and the community. See www.callingcare.com

Kathy,
ReplyDeleteI slso read your article in the SR newsletter. I am happy to find your site and also the info. on the upcoming series at the SR library. My mom (almost 90) lives in an independent living complex, but I think it is time to look at bringing in some help. She is not really in need of assisted living, but needs some "checking in on" during the week while my sister and I are working. Dealing with her issues has made me realize that is time to also plan carefully for my and my husband's futures. Thank you for helping to inform me!
